Large Quantity of Narcotics Seized in Rautahat

Rautahat Police have seized a significant quantity of cannabis in a major drug bust. Acting on a tip-off, authorities recovered a large amount of the illegal substance during a targeted operation.

The seizure took place near Jhaajh Khola in Garuda, where police intercepted a Brezza car with a Nepali license plate. According to police sources, the vehicle (Ga 3 Cha 6896) was traveling from Chandranigahapur towards Gaur when it was stopped for inspection.

When the Garuda Police Team attempted to halt the car for inspection, the driver tried to flee, leading to a chase. During the pursuit, police managed to recover the cannabis.

Rautahat Police Chief Netramani Giri stated that the process of unloading the seized drugs from the vehicle is currently underway. Once completed, all details will be disclosed through a press conference.

He further mentioned that Garuda Police had received prior information about the Brezza car transporting narcotics towards the district headquarters, Gaur. Acting on this intelligence, the operation was successfully carried out.
