Two Killed in Separate Road Accidents in Rautahat and Siraha

Kathmandu, July 18 – Two individuals lost their lives in separate road accidents in Rautahat and Siraha districts on Wednesday and Thursday.

Rautahat Accident Claims Pedestrian's Life

In Rautahat's Rajpur Municipality-1, Pipra Bhagawanpur Toll, a hit-and-run incident involving an unnumbered vehicle resulted in the death of 55-year-old Mira Devi Yadav, a local resident. The accident occurred on Wednesday night, and Yadav succumbed to her injuries while undergoing treatment at Provincial Hospital in Gaur. Police are actively searching for the unidentified vehicle and driver.

Siraha Truck Crash Leaves One Dead, Two Injured

In Siraha's Karjanha Municipality-2, a truck (Province 2-04-001 Kha 0056) traveling from Chandrapur to Itahari lost control and crashed on Thursday morning. The accident claimed the life of 29-year-old Chhayal Singh, a resident of Rajasthan, India, who was aboard the truck. Singh died during treatment at Ful Kumari Mahato Memorial Hospital. Two other injured passengers are currently receiving care at the same facility. Authorities are investigating the incident and searching for the absconding truck driver.

Police officials from both districts confirmed that investigations into the accidents are ongoing. These incidents highlight growing concerns about road safety and hit-and-run cases in the region.
