Nepal's Federal Parliament Convenes for Key Legislative Sessions

Both houses of Nepal's federal parliament are convening today for important legislative business. The House of Representatives will meet at 1:00 pm with Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel presenting the "Alternative Finance Mobilization Bill, 2081" for consideration.

Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Devendra Dahal will introduce the "Ship Operation and Management Bill, 2081," while Public Accounts Committee Chairman Rishikesh Pokharel will table the committee's 23rd annual report. Speaker Devraj Ghimire will also read an official communication regarding bill authentication from the President's Office. Simultaneously, the National Assembly session beginning at 1:15 pm will consider the "Federal Civil Service Bill, 2080" presented by Federal Affairs Minister Raj Kumar Gupta, along with the accompanying message from the lower house.

Energy Minister Dipak Khadka will also propose sending the "Water Resources Bill, 2081" to the Legislation Management Committee for detailed clause-by-clause discussion. The Federal Parliament Secretariat confirmed these agenda items for today's parliamentary proceedings.
