Kathmandu, January 5 — The Central Committee meeting of the CPN (UML) has begun. The meeting, held at the party's central office in Chyasal, will feature a political report presented by party Chair and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.

Previously, group discussions were held on the report, but this time, each central committee member will be given an opportunity to express their views individually. Party Vice Chairman Surendra Pandey mentioned that each member will be allotted around three minutes to present their opinions.

At the start of the meeting, Chairman Oli will address the current national political situation. The political report, presented by him, will cover topics such as future plans, strengthening of the party organization, the formation of the current government, partnership in previous governments, government priorities, constitutional amendments, economic reforms, cooperatives, and more, according to Vice Chair Pandey.

The meeting will include central committee members and commission chiefs, with plans to conclude within two days.

The political report to be presented at the meeting was approved by the CPN (UML) Secretariat meeting on January 2.

This will be the first central committee meeting since the formation of the government under Chairman Oli's leadership. It is expected to set clear positions on topics like constitutional amendments and other major agendas ahead of the winter session of Parliament.
