Snowfall, rain, and cold waves predicted in several regions of Nepal

Kathmandu, December 27 — The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority has announced that the weather in the country will change from this afternoon, as per the Department of Water and Meteorology, and has urged the public to take precautions.
Spokesperson of the authority, Dijan Bhattarai, requested caution as the cold and cold waves are expected to increase, which could lead to health problems. He mentioned that snowfall could occur in high hilly and mountainous areas, rain in some places, and cold waves in the Terai region.
The Meteorological Forecasting Division issued a special bulletin on the weather change, stating that due to the western low-pressure system, the weather will become partly to generally cloudy in most parts of the country from this afternoon.
The Department of Meteorology forecasts light to moderate snowfall in most places of the high hilly and mountainous areas of Sudurpashchim and Karnali Provinces, as well as some parts of the high hilly and mountainous regions of Gandaki, Bagmati, and Koshi Provinces tomorrow, Saturday.
