Deadline extended yet another time for western section of Muglin-Pokhara road

Damauli, December 20 — The deadline of the western section of the Muglin-Pokhara Road Project has been extended for the second time.

The Project's western section which covers a distance of 38.8 kms from Jamune in the district of Tanahun to Setipul in Pokhara along the Prithvi Highway was given the extended timeline for its construction.

Engineer of Muglin-Pokhara Road Project (western section) Saujanya Nepal said that the timeline of the project has been extended till December 2025. China's Anhui Kaiyuan Road & Bridge Company is developing the western section of the Project at a cost of Rs 7.40 billion.

The construction company has pledged to complete the entire construction works in the fresh deadline. So far, 34.94 per cent physical progress was achieved in the project as 23.91 kms road is blacktopped in the first layer.

Of the blacktopped road, 5.45 kms is two-way and 18.46 kms is one-way.

In this section, the construction company is tasked to construction 11 bridges but only 5 of them are completed as of today.
