Youth Arrested with Drugs After Posting Assault Video

Kathmandu. A youth who posted a video on social media showing him assaulting a young woman with a khukuri in Tulsipur, Dang, has been arrested with drugs.

Ramesh Thada Magar, 24, of Tulsipur Sub-Metropolitan City-2, Dang district, had posted a video on his Facebook ID on Tuesday evening at 8:30 PM, showing him taking a young woman to a jungle area three months ago, threatening her with a khukuri, and assaulting her.

After the video went viral, a team from the Tulsipur Area Police Office arrested him from his house at 10:40 PM on Tuesday with drugs: 1 Pregamax tablet, 41 Trohmo tablets, 2 Antikop tablets, and 5 Nitrazohm tablets.

During the same incident, Jibraj Khatri, 21, of Tulsipur-2 Balapur, was also taken into custody and further investigation is underway.
