11 killed in separate traffic accidents across Nepal

Kathmandu, November 4 — In the past 24 hours, 11 people have died in separate traffic accidents across the country. According to the Police Headquarters, on Sunday afternoon, a collision occurred between two motorcycles on the road in Madhuban Municipality-3, Bardiya, resulting in the death of 24-year-old Bikash Chaudhary, the rider of motorcycle number BHE.12 PA 2190, who was from Geruwa Rural Municipality-5. 

He succumbed to his injuries while receiving treatment at Bardiya Hospital in Gulariya. Additionally, two passengers on the other motorcycle, with registration number SU.PRA.P.01-009 PA 2104, are being treated at Western Hospital in Nepalgunj.

In a separate incident, 54-year-old Dammara Oli from Ghodaghodi Municipality-10 in Kailali died after being hit by motorcycle number SU.PRA.01-011 PA 4643 on Sunday evening. She suffered severe injuries and passed away during further treatment at Nisarga Hospital in Dhangadhi.

Similarly, in a tragic accident in the Kanchanrup Municipality-7 area of Saptari, 8-year-old Alisa Sada died after being struck by a scooter with registration number PR.2-01-002 PA 9997. She was severely injured and died while being treated at Golden Hospital in Biratnagar.

In another incident in Nawalparasi West, 45-year-old Dal Bahadur Chaudhary died after losing control of his motorcycle number LU.18 PA 5849 on a road in Susta Rural Municipality-2 on Sunday night. He passed away during treatment at Tinau Hospital in Butwal.

In Dang, 22-year-old Prem Rana died after his motorcycle with registration number RA.7 PA 4074 crashed on a road in Lamahi Municipality-5. He also succumbed to his injuries while being treated at Lamahi Hospital.

In Dharan, a 6-year-old girl named Firoza Shrestha died after being hit by motorcycle number KO.28 PA 8204. She was severely injured and died while receiving treatment at BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences.

Additionally, in Barahakshetra Municipality-3 of Sunsari, 45-year-old Lok Bahadur Paudel died after being struck by motorcycle number PR.1-02-043 PA 6662. He was critically injured and died while being transported for further treatment.

According to police, in Nepalgunj Sub Metropolitan City-4, a collision occurred between two motorcycles (BHE.6 PA 802 and JA.3 PA 7171) on Sunday night, resulting in the death of 26-year-old Aman Kumar Kasodhan from the Sardarline area. He died while receiving treatment at a nursing home.

In a further incident in Bara's Jitpur Simra Sub Metropolitan City-10, a Sumo vehicle numbered NA.1 J 4428 lost control while traveling from Kathmandu to Birgunj, leading to the death of 4-year-old Anmol Kumar Sah, son of Navin Kumar Sah from India, who was also a passenger in the Sumo. He succumbed to his injuries at Vayodha Hospital in Birgunj.

In Morang, 27-year-old Makhan Biswas died after his motorcycle (PR.01-02-043 PA 3699) collided with a pedestrian, 26-year-old Kajal Majhi Tharu. He passed away while being treated at Golden Hospital in Biratnagar.

In Jhapa's Kankai Municipality-5, 7-year-old Sohan Pathak died after being hit by a motorcycle number ME.11 PA 338 on Sunday morning. He was severely injured and died at Birat City Hospital. The police are currently searching for the driver of the motorcycle involved in the accident. Local police are conducting necessary investigations related to all the incidents, as stated by the Police Headquarters.
