Bhim Rawal calls for opposition to autocratic practices within UML
Kathmandu, October 28 — Former Vice Chairman of the CPN (UML), Bhim Rawal, has called for opposition to the autocratic style within the party.
On Monday morning, Rawal took to social media platform Facebook to denounce the practice of demanding clarification and issuing threats in an autocratic manner without any meetings or discussions, contrary to UML's principles, traditions, and constitutional rights. He urged party activists to oppose such behavior.
Rawal mentioned that members of the Sudurpashchim Province Committee, as well as the Achham and Kailali district committees, have been subjected to demands for clarifications and intimidation. He himself was asked for clarification by the party after facing criticism regarding the donation of land taken from businessman Meen Bahadur Gurung.
Rawal stated: "Let all justice-loving, honest, and principled individuals oppose and protest against the wrongful act of demanding explanations and issuing threats to members of the Sudurpashchim Province Committee, Achham, and Kailali district committees, using the abuse of power without any meetings or discussions, contrary to UML's principles, traditions, and constitutional rights!"
