Gold smuggling case: Coalition decides against forming high-level inquiry committee

KATHMANDU, Aug 14: The ruling coalition has decided not to form a high-level inquiry committee to investigate the gold smuggling case.

The coalition decided against the formation of the inquiry committee in the meeting held at the Prime Minister's residence on Monday.

CPN UML has been obstructing the Parliament since the 26th of July, demanding the formation of a high-level committee to investigate the smuggling of the gold.

But the ruling coalition meeting decided not to adhere to the UML's demands.
