Binu Yadav arrested after spraying black paint at Supreme Court (photos)
Kathmandu, November 26 — Binu Yadav, who had been claiming to be a victim of domestic violence, has been arrested.
She was detained after protesting by spraying black paint on the board in front of the Supreme Court.
She is currently being held at the Police Circle Singhadurbar.
Yadav has been protesting and fasting for a long time to address her demands. Previously, after her hunger strike, the government had reached a four-point agreement with her.
At that time, there was an agreement that the Ministry of Home Affairs would send a request to the Attorney General's office for action on a case filed against Pawan Kathayat for alleged sexual assault on Yadav.
In 2019, Yadav had staged a sit-in at Maitighar Mandala, demanding action against then-Police Deputy Superintendent (DSP) Suraj Karki of Kalimati Police, who had allegedly forced her to withdraw a complaint of sexual assault, along with other five-point demands.
