Kathmandu, November 26 — A protest was held at Maitighar on Tuesday demanding the end of 'political revenge' and the release of Rashtriya Swatantra Party (RSP) President Rabi Lamichhane.

The demonstration was organized by a group of youths identifying themselves as an independent group. Central committee member of RSP, Jwala Sangroula, was also present at the protest.

Rabi Lamichhane, who was arrested on charges of cooperative fraud, is currently in police custody. After completing his statement in Pokhara, he is being brought to Kathmandu today.

The Kaski District Court on Sunday granted permission to keep him in custody for an additional 15 days for further investigation.

According to the Kaski District Police, he is being brought to Kathmandu to investigate the alleged misappropriation of funds from Swarnalakshmi Cooperative. A warrant for his arrest has already been issued by the Kathmandu District Court.
