Gold smelting starts at Mint Division

KATHMANDU, Aug 14: The smelting process of around a quintal of gold that was seized from Sinamangal, has begun at the Mint Division.

The representatives of the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police, the Department of Revenue Investigation and the Mint Division on Monday, have begun the process of smelting the gold to weigh the quantity of the gold that was brought by keeping inside the break-shoes.

The officers investigating have informed that there are 20 break-shoes in one carton. It has been informed that the smelting process will take two days and the quantity of gold will be known after that.
