Support to teacher ailing from cancer

Damauli, Tanahu, A financial support of Rs. 52,000 has been provided to a teacher suffering from cancer. 
The amount from the Teachers' Welfare Fund was handed over to Hari Prasad Pokharel, a teacher of Mahendra Secondary School in Raipur. Pokharel has been battling with cancer since the past four years. 
Establishment of the fund has been very helpful for teachers who fall sick and are unable to meet the expenses of their treatment, District Education Officer Rudra Bhandari said. DEO Bhandari and President of Nepal Teachers' Association, Tanahu Kamal Bhakta Pokharel handed over a cheque worth the amount to the family of the teacher on Tuesday.
