Maoist Center to pick 15-member office bearers’ team tomorrow

KATHMANDU, Jan 2: CPN (Maoist Center) is preparing to pick office bearers on Monday. 

The party will have 15 office bearer positions including a chairperson. The office-bearer positions include a chairman, a senior vice-chair, six vice-chairs, a general secretary, two deputy general secretaries,  three secretaries, and a treasurer.

Party spokesperson Krishna Bahadur Mahara said that a central committee meeting to be held on Monday will announce a new team of office-bearers. 

The party’s Eighth General Convention was concluded on Sunday evening shortly after the closed-door session unanimously passed the list of the 236-member central working committee as proposed by Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’.
