Feasibility study conducted for building high altitude sports training centre

Jumla, Feasibility study has begun for the construction of a high altitude sports training centre at Lauthchaur of Chhumchaur in Jumla district. Chhumchaur is the place where paddy is cultivated at the highest altitude in the world. 
A team led by Mahesh Dahal, Secretary at the Ministry of Youth and Sports, has reached Jumla in connection with carrying out a feasibility study for the construction of the high altitude training centre cum sports stadium at Lauthchaur. 
The team is learnt to start the feasibility study from today itself, said Kabi Dutta Neupane, the Chief of the Jumla District Sports Development Committee Office. 
The study team has proposed naming the training centre as 'Karnali High Altitude Training Centre' and the stadium to be constructed at Ranjhasima as 'Karnali Stdium'. 
The construction of these facilities is expected to contribute to the development of sports in Karnali region.
