Government decides to suspend domestic, international flights

KATHMANDU, May 2: Amid the rapid surge in coronavirus cases, the government has decided to suspend all the domestic flights starting 12 AM on Monday.

A Cabinet meeting held on Sunday evening also decided to halt international flights from Wednesday midnight in an apparent bid to stem the spread of coronavirus transmission. However, flights to and from India will be suspended from today itself, according to a minister.

COVID-19 Crisis Management Center (CCMC) had recommended to the government to place restrictions on all the domestic and international flights owing to the rising fears of the viral disease.
