Rastriya Swatantra Party Bagmati Province Chairman Election: 4 Candidates Remain

Makwanpur. The candidacy of 4 people has been finalized for the chairmanship of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Bagmati Province. Out of 5 people who filed nominations including 2 MPs, the candidacy of 4 has been finalized.

The final list of candidates was published on Tuesday night as part of the election program. According to this, MP Badhan Bhandari, elected from Kavre, has withdrawn his candidacy. The published final list of chairman candidates includes Hari Bahadur Khatri from Ramechhap, Dr. Achyutam Lamichhane from Nuwakot, Krishnamaaan Shrestha from Dhading, and Utsav Aryal from Makwanpur. 

As the voting could not be held as per the election schedule this morning, the election program has been postponed until 8 AM.  

Similarly, 88 people have filed nominations for the post of RSP Bagmati Province member. The election committee has classified the candidates based on open members, inclusive (Dalit, women, minority), and various constituencies.

Representatives from Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur, Makwanpur, Chitwan, Kavrepalanchok, Sindhupalchok, Dhading, Nuwakot, Rasuwa, Dolakha, Sindhuli, and Ramechhap districts are in the electoral field for the member posts.

The election committee has stated that preparations are underway to advance the voting process once the final list is published.
