Prohibitory orders being enforced in these districts
KATHMANDU, April 30: As many as 23 districts across the country have imposed prohibitory orders owing to the rising number of coronavirus cases.
According to the Ministry of Home Affairs (MOHA), 19 districts have enforced the orders across the whole district while four others in those parts which are highly affected by the virus.
The Cabinet had earlier authorised the local administrations to enforce prohibitory orders if the number of active cases surpass 200 in the hill districts and 500 in the three districts in the Kathmandu Valley and other terai districts.
Issuing a public notice on Friday evening, the ministry shared that the three districts of the Valley --- Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur--- as well as Banke, Surkhet, Kaski, Kailai and Parsa have imposed the orders throughout the districts. Similarly, Dang, Kanchanpur, Palpa, Chitwan, Rupandehi, Salyan, Sunsari, Jajarkot and Rukum (West) issued the orders across the districts to stem the transmission chain. Four other districts ---Baglung, Kalikot, Bardiya and Darchula--,however, have enforced orders in some of the areas in the districts.
