State should be strong to empower public: CM Pokharel

Rukum East–Chief Minister of State-5 Shankar Pokharel has asserted that the State should empower the public. CM Pokharel, who arrived in Rukum East, the only mountainous district in State no 5, reaffirmed that the provincial government was on the side of the people.

Addressing an assembly organized at Taksera of Putha Uttarganga Rural Municipality in the district, Pokharel shared that the provincial government was moving ahead with proper plans with special emphasis on commercialization of agriculture to make the State No 5 a prosperous one.

He said that the provincial government was ready to provide subsidy to provide market to locally produced products in Rukum East. According to him, the provincial capital of Rukum East was not determined yet since the case related to it was subjudice in the Supreme Court.

Rukum East is the 77th district of Nepal formed after the implementation of federalism.
