No political meddling in development-Minister Rai

Nepalgunj–Minster for Urban Development Mohammad Istiyak Rai has ruled out political meddling in development affairs. Inaugurating the integrated solid waste management and processing centre (dumping site) established at Hiraminiya of Nepalgunj on Thursday, Minister Rai noted, "All sides should unite for development. Let us do politics in election".

He further said they would reach nowhere if the politics was integrated with development affairs. The minister also pledged to do all-possible efforts from his ministry for the development of Banke district.

Also speaking at the programme presided over by Nepalgunj sub-metropolis Mayor Dr Dhawal Shumsher Rana were State-5 minister duo, IP Kharel and Bijaya Yadav, ministry's secretary Madhusudan Adhikari, project chief Subhash Basnet.

The dumping site was built at the cost of Rs 3.89 million with the financial assistance of Asian Development Bank.
