Flower market blooms in New Road  (with photos)

KATHMANDU: Busy market places in New Road and Ason are crowded with the shoppers buying flowers and garlands for the festival of Tihar. 

Flowers and flower garlands hold a huge cultural significance during the Tihar festival. Sisters put flower garlands around their brothers neck. Flowers are also used to decorate houses.
