Gold Seizure at TIA: 850 grams confiscated from Indian woman

KATHMANDU: Authorities at Tribhuvan International Airport have intercepted approximately 850 grams of gold, wrapped in plastic, from an Indian woman.

SSP Krishna Hari Sharma of the Airport Security Office confirmed the seizure.

The woman was found smuggling the gold concealed within her underwear.

Investigations into the matter are currently underway.

This incident comes after police discovered over 1 kg of unattended gold at TIA earlier on Thursday.
