Partial influence of westerly and local winds: Weather forecast for Nepal

KATHMANDU: The country is currently experiencing a partial influence of westerly winds and local winds, as reported by the Meteorological Forecasting Division.

The weather is partly cloudy in the hilly regions of the country and mainly fair elsewhere.

Partially cloudy weather is forecasted for the hilly regions of Koshi Province, Bagmati Province, Gandaki Province, and Karnali Province, while mainly fair conditions are expected in other areas this afternoon.

There is a possibility of light rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning in one or two places in the hilly regions of Koshi Province, Gandaki Province, Karnali Province, and Sudurpaschim Province.

Similarly, there is a chance of rainfall and snowfall in one or two places in the high-hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi Province, Bagmati Province, Gandaki Province, and Karnali Province, according to the Division.

Additionally, this afternoon, there is a possibility of storms in some areas of Bagmati Province, Gandaki Province, and Lumbini Province, with further storms expected in some areas of Gandaki Province and Lumbini Province in the evening.

The Division has urged the public to take precautions as daily life, as well as agriculture, health, tourism, mountaineering, road, and air services in these areas, may be partially affected.

Tonight, partly cloudy weather is predicted in the hilly regions of Koshi Province and Gandaki Province, with fair weather expected in the rest of the country.

There is a chance of light snowfall in one or two places in the high-hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi Province and Gandaki Province, as well as light rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning in one or two places in the hilly regions of Koshi Province, Bagmati Province, Gandaki Province, and Karnali Province.
