Only two candidates attend interview for SEBON Chair

Kathmandu, November 24 — Only two candidates attended the interview for the position of Chairman of the Securities Board. Previously, candidates who missed the interview and presentation—Navaraj Adhikari, Krishna Bahadur Karki, and Chiranjivi Chapagain—saw only Adhikari and Karki attending this time.

According to a source from the Ministry of Finance, Chapagain was again absent today. He had also failed to attend the earlier interview, which had been postponed. The previous postponement occurred due to the illness of Shivaraj Adhikari, coordinator of the selection recommendation committee and Vice-Chairman of the National Planning Commission.

The appointment process for the vacant position of Chairman of the Securities Board, which has been unfilled since January 5, 2023, has faced prolonged uncertainty.
