Malware causes temporary shutdown of passport services
Kathmandu, November 24 — The passport application system has been disrupted for the past few days.
The Department of Passport has stated that some computers related to the passport application system were infected with a virus.
As a result, passport services at district/area administration offices and foreign missions have been temporarily suspended.
In a notice, the Department mentioned that services at these locations will gradually resume, and it may take 1-2 weeks for full operations to begin.
