Woman arrested for beating 3 women brutally in Sunsari

KATHMANDU, July 17: 3 women have been beaten brutally at Saptakoshi River Bank in Baraha Chhetra Municipality-9, Sunsari.

The police arrested the accused woman after a video showing 5 women brutally beating 3 women was posted on social media.

19-year-old Priti Limbu, who was involved in the incident, has been arrested by the Police, Sunsari District Police Office DSP Rajkumar Rai told Ratopati.

The police investigation revealed that a fight broke out between the two groups of women after a verbal argument was induced by alcohol consumption on the 14th of July.

The victim side filed a case against the 5 women in District Police Office on Sunday. The accused side allegedly attacked the victims after they felt "disrespected" during the verbal argument.

Further investigation is ongoing in the case according to the Police.
