Rabi Lamichhane cancels flight; travels to Kathmandu by road

Kathmandu, January 10 — Rabi Lamichhane, President of the Rashtriya Swatantra  Party (RSP), has canceled his 2 PM flight and is now traveling to Kathmandu by road.

Just a short while ago, Lamichhane departed in his personal vehicle for the capital.

Lamichhane was scheduled to appear in the Kathmandu District Court today.

He was released from Kaski police custody on Thursday after being detained for 84 days.

Following a court order to release him on bail of NPR 6.5 million, Lamichhane was freed after submitting the bail amount through a bank guarantee.
