Opposition trio meet to discuss political developments

Kathmandu, January 10 — A meeting was held on Thursday at Singha Durbar between the leaders of three opposition political parties.

The meeting was attended by Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, Chairman of the CPN (Maoist Centre), Madhav Kumar Nepal, Chairman of the Unified Socialist Party, and Rajendra Lingden, Chairman of the Rashtriya Prajatantra Party (RPP), as confirmed by RPP spokesperson Mohan Shrestha.

The leaders discussed recent political developments and ways to strengthen the opposition front.

It may be noted that just a day before, Prachanda and Nepal had met for discussions.

Prachanda has previously stated that the government under Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is bound to fall, and the repeated meetings and discussions among opposition leaders are being seen as significant in the political circles.
