Agreement not to 'disturb' police in investigation of Bhutanese refugee case

KATHMANDU, May 10: Even though top political leaders have been dragged into the fake Bhutanese refugee case, it has been agreed not to disturb the police investigation. The agreement was made in the meeting of the top leaders of the three main parties held at Singha Darbar on Wednesday, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' informed.

PM Dahal also claimed that there was no attempt to let the culprits escape during the meeting between the three leaders as publicized in the media.

He said that he had given clear instructions to the police that the culprits should not be emancipated in the Bhutanese refugee case. The Prime Minister said that the police have been given a standing order that none of the guilty be spared and no innocent be persecuted. PM Dahal added that the Police have done their job, so there is no reason to doubt it as whatever has happened, the police are doing their work according to the laws and regulations, and the political leadership has also done their work.
