Rs 48 million collected from Birat Gyanmahayagya

Chitwan–Birat Gyanmahayagya has concluded at Devghatdham in Tanahun district. Approximately Rs 48 million was collected from the religious event. 


The Mahayagya was organised from the first week of February on the occasion of the Silver Jubilee celebration of Mahesh Sannyas Ashram and Mahesh Sanskrit Gurukul. 


The collected money will go into a revolving fund to be used to promote Sanskrit education, said Shree 1008 Swami Ramananda Giri, chairperson of the Ashram. 


The organiser had managed lodging and food for the Mahayagya attendants. Established in 2050 B.S., the Gurukul offers education from sixth grades to Masters level alongside hostel facility.
