Three killed in flood related incidents

Chitwan - Three persons have been killed and one reported missing in flood related incidents here in the district.

The District Police Office, Chitwan has identified the deceased as Goman Kumar Rana Magar, 42, of Rapti municipality – 8, Kamal Bahadur Praja, 24, of Ichchakamana rural municipality – 3 and Fulmati Chepang, 77, of Rapti municipality – 8.

Rana Magar was swept away by the Pampha river; Fulmati was buried after her house collapsed while Kamal Bahadur was swept by the local Barwang river.

One person has been injured in the flooding. She has been identified as Kamala Nepali of Madi municipality – 7.

The missing person has been identified as 55 – year – old Rana Bahadur Chepang of Rapti municipality.

Superintendent of Police (SP), Deepak Thapa, said 2957 persons were rescued from areas at risk of flooding.
