View tower comes up in Okhaldhunga

Okhaldhunga –Siddhicharan Municipality in Okhaldhunga district has constructed a view tower atop the Laglage hill near the district headquarters with a view to promoting tourism. 


The municipality mayor had laid the foundation stone for the structure the following day of taking charge of his office and it has been constructed in 16 months’ time. 


The 10-metre-tall view tower is constructed at a cost of Rs 2.3 million, the municipality’s engineer Dibya Shrestha said. According to him, the outer structure has been completed and the internal works like painting and decoration works on the structure remain. 


The view tower is located at an elevation of 2,370 metres from the mean sea level.
