Betrawati – Reconstruction of Deurali Secondary School at Myagung rural municipality-2 in Nuwakot district has been completed.
Reconstruction of the school, damaged by Gorkha earthquake in April 2015, was carried out with the support of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). Parliamentarian Bahadur Singh Lama on Wednesday handed over the building to the community.
On the occasion, Lama expressed the view that it would be easier and effective to provide quality education from the new building. The school had been conducting classes in a shed after the Gorkha earthquake completely damaged the school building.
The 16-room building was reconstructed at a cost of Rs 28.3 million. The building is quake-resistant and disabled-friendly.
