RB Leipzig Winger Mohamed Diomande Agrees Personal Terms with Real Madrid

Madrid. RB Leipzig winger Mohamed Diomande has agreed personal terms with Real Madrid after Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) withdrew their interest. 

The 19-year-old Ivorian international was previously a priority for Liverpool and PSG. Liverpool's initial offer of 69 million pounds was rejected last June. 

After that, Liverpool moved on to search for other players, and PSG has also decided not to compete with Real Madrid. It is reported that PSG's final offer of 102.5 million pounds for Diomande on Sunday was also rejected. 

Since then, Real Madrid has set personal terms with him. This offer is based on the contract of English midfielder Jude Bellingham. It includes performance-based incentives and a provision for the contract amount to increase each year. 

Real will pay more than 100 million pounds for Diomande, who came to Leipzig for five years last summer from Spanish club Leganes. According to sources close to Real Madrid, chief intermediaries Jose Angel and Juni Calafat had been monitoring him for about five years. However, this decision was not solely based on Diomande's performance in the World Cup. 

Leipzig tried hard to keep the forward in Germany. But it was difficult to refuse the offer due to the extraordinary interest from top European clubs and the potential record-breaking sale price. 

Diomande was the emerging player of the 2025-26 Bundesliga season. He scored 12 goals and created eight assists last season. 

He went to an academy in the United States from his homeland Ivory Coast in 2025. After that, he joined the Spanish team Leganes.
