India Clinches T20 Series 3-0 Against Zimbabwe; Vaibhav Suryavanshi Sets Age Records

Harare. India defeated Zimbabwe by 35 runs in the third T20 match, completing a 3-0 clean sweep in the series. 

Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who scored a total of 151 runs in this series, was named 'Player of the Series'. With this, he became the youngest player in the world to win this award in international cricket. 

At the age of 15 years and 121 days, he broke the record of Afghanistan's Mujeeb Ur Rahman by registering this record in his name. Mujeeb had become Player of the Series at the age of 16 years and 328 days.

Suryavanshi, who scored 81 runs off 49 balls in the final match in Harare, was also declared Player of the Match. He is the youngest Indian player to win this award. 

He broke Sachin Tendulkar's record. Sachin had achieved this feat against England at the age of 17 years and 112 days. However, at the world level, he is second after Sierra Leone's Alusine Turay. Turay had won this award at the age of 15 years and 74 days.

Similarly, Suryavanshi also set a record for scoring more than 50 runs the most times in international cricket before turning 16. He hit his second half-century at the age of 15 years and 121 days. Earlier, Nepal's Kushal Malla had scored more than 50 once before the age of 16. 

Suryavanshi has also reached third place in the list of Indian players who have hit the most sixes in T20 this year. He has already hit 86 sixes this year. Abhishek Sharma, who is in the first place in this list, had hit 108 sixes in 2025. 

Among players who have hit at least 100 sixes in T20, Suryavanshi's average is the best. He hits a six on an average of every 5.21 balls, while other players have a rate of over 7.

Meanwhile, Indian opener Abhishek Sharma became the Indian opener to score the fewest runs in a three-match T20 series, scoring just 11 runs in this series. He broke Shikhar Dhawan's poor record of 19 runs against England in 2018. 

In bowling, Mayank Yadav equaled the record for the most times taking a wicket on the first ball of an innings by an Indian player. He has achieved this feat 3 times each, along with Bhuvneshwar Kumar.

Zimbabwe captain Sikandar Raza has joined the list of players to be dismissed for zero most times as captain in T20 Internationals. He was out for zero for the seventh time. Australia's former captain Aaron Finch is in first place in this list, having been dismissed for zero 8 times.
