Tribhuvan University Management Faculty Announces New Examination Code of Conduct

Kathmandu. Tribhuvan University, Faculty of Management, Dean's Office has published new code of conduct and instructions that must be compulsorily followed by examinees participating in various semester examinations at the undergraduate, postgraduate and M.Phil. levels.

The university has brought these strict rules into implementation with the objective of conducting the examination in a disciplined, dignified and impartial environment. According to the notice issued by the Dean's Office on Monday, examinees must compulsorily carry their official admit card with them every day of the examination. It has been arranged that one must sit only in the designated seat assigned by the center chief after entering the examination hall and one cannot leave their seat or building without the permission of the center chief or invigilator.

Specifically, no examinee is allowed to leave the examination building within the first one hour after the examination starts.

Similarly, carrying electronic devices such as mobile phones, smart watches, chits, books or any other prohibited materials inside the examination hall is completely prohibited. If anyone is found cheating, helping others, or taking the exam in place of another (impersonation), such examinees will be immediately brought under the purview of action.

Furthermore, a warning has been given that those who obstruct the conduct of the examination or behave indecently with the staff will also be severely punished. The TU has tightened its measures after the recent public disclosure of question papers leaking in TU examinations.

The notice mentions that the university can cancel the examination of examinees who violate the examination rules and code of conduct and can also deprive them from participating in any examination for a certain period.
