Third Nepal Festival-2026 Held in Brampton, Canada

Toronto. The 'Third Nepal Festival-2026' is being held today, Saturday, in the city of Brampton, Canada. This festival is being organized by Laligurans Sports and Cultural Club.

The main objective of the festival is to preserve, develop, and promote Nepali art and culture, songs and music, attire, Nepali food items, Nepali handicrafts, and various Nepali products.

The entire preparation for the festival has been completed, informed Bishwa Adhikari, the coordinator of the main organizing committee and the club's president. President Adhikari stated that along with the stage preparation, banners and decorations reflecting Nepali flags and Nepali culture have been arranged at and around the program venue.

Approximately more than 30 commercial and social stalls, along with various Nepali food items, will be available at the festival, which will be held from 1 PM to 9 PM Canadian time in the courtyard of Brampton City's Super World Complex. Information about this was provided by Dharam Nyopane, the general secretary of Laligurans Sports and Cultural Club and a member of the main organizing committee of the festival.

The festival will feature tableaux, dances, and Lakhe dance performances showcasing the attire of various ethnic groups including Gurung, Tamang, Sherpa, Newar, Tharu, and Madhesi.

Both entry and parking are free at the festival, informed Anil Gyawali, the club's treasurer. Shyam Aryal, the vice-president of the organizing institution and a member of the main organizing committee, stated that more than 10,000 people are expected to participate in the program.

In previous years as well, the first and second Nepal Festivals were grandly concluded in Brampton City, organized by Laligurans Sports and Cultural Club. The festival to be held today will be inaugurated by the Nepali Ambassador to Canada, Bharat Raj Paudel. Citizens of Canada and Multicultural Minister Graham McGregor, Federal MPs Sonia Sidhu, Aman Deep, NRNA Canada President Jagan Sapkota, and other distinguished guests will be present at the program.
