Himalaya Jet Nears Final Preparations for Direct Flights to UK, Europe, Australia

London. Himalaya Jet, which is moving forward with the goal of connecting Nepal directly with the UK, Europe, and Australia through long-haul air service, has stated that its preparations have reached the final stage.

The company has opened employment by calling for applications for various positions related to customer service and operations in the first phase.

According to the company, after facing political and regulatory challenges in Nepal for about three years, the much-awaited Himalaya Jet project has now reached the final stage of preparation. The company has stated that it has completed the initial preparations to realize its long-term goal of connecting Nepal with the UK, Europe, and Australia through direct air service.

Although Nepal is home to eight of the world's highest mountains and is a major tourist destination, Himalaya Jet has mentioned that for more than the past 35 years, international tourists and non-resident Nepalis have been deprived of easy air access due to the lack of direct long-haul air service. The company has expressed confidence that its project will end this situation and take Nepal's tourism, trade, and international connectivity to new heights.

According to the company, this achievement is the result of lifelong dedication, continuous hard work, and unwavering commitment. Initial flight operations have been arranged with the support of leading aviation experts and consultants worldwide, coordination with international civil aviation bodies and policymakers, and partnerships with internationally recognized air operators in the UK, Europe, and Australia.

Himalaya Jet plans to operate services through partner airlines until it obtains its own Air Operator Certificate (AOC). The company states that after Nepal is removed from the European Union's air safety list, regular flights will be fully operated under its own AOC. The company has announced that it will publicly disclose detailed information about the project through its first international press conference to be held in London in the near future.

Meanwhile, in the first phase, Himalaya Jet has opened applications for the positions of Passenger Service Officer, Customer Service Executive, Airport Operations Assistant, Reservation and Ticketing Officer, Contact Center (Call Center) Advisor, Ground Operations Assistant, Administration and Office Assistant, Finance and Accounts Assistant, Human Resources Officer, Marketing and Sales Executive, IT Support Officer, and Operations Coordinator.

The management of experienced pilots and cabin crews has already been done through partner airlines, and ground handling services in the UK, Europe, and Australia will be operated by qualified GSA, the company stated.

Foreign nationals who can speak Nepali fluently, including Nepali youth residing in Nepal, the UK, Europe, and Australia, can also apply. Interested candidates can send their CV to [email protected]. The last date for application has been set as July 30, 2026.

Himalaya Jet has claimed that this project is an important beginning of a long-term plan to directly connect Nepal with the world, promote tourism, and create thousands of jobs in the future.
