Dr. Govinda KC Hospitalized Amid Hunger Strike in Dhangadhi

Dhangadhi. Dr. Govinda KC, who is on a hunger strike in Dhangadhi, has been taken to Seti Provincial Hospital after his health deteriorated. Doctors have started his treatment in the ICU, informed Dr. Amrit Jai. KC, who has been on hunger strike at Krishna Mandir for three days, has a sugar level of 50.

Meanwhile, locals have protested against Dr. KC's hunger strike at the Krishna Mandir premises. Reaching the hunger strike site, they chanted slogans demanding that he end his hunger strike immediately. Local dissatisfaction has arisen regarding Dr. KC's hunger strike at a time when preparations are underway to operate the Shahid Dashrath Chand Health Sciences University. Protesters accused a vested interest group of using Dr. KC to obstruct the process of operating the university.

Security personnel were deployed to control the crowd during the protest.

Dr. KC has started his 24th hunger strike at Dhangadhi's Krishna Mandir with various demands, including reforms in medical education and the health sector.
