Harry Kane and Bayern Munich to hold contract talks

Munich. Formal talks are to be held between England captain Harry Kane and German champions Bayern Munich regarding a new contract.

Kane's current contract expires at the end of next season. However, Bayern is keen to keep its striker at the club. 

The 32-year-old Kane is aware of Bayern's desire and discussions are expected to move forward in the coming weeks. Kane came to Bayern Munich from Tottenham in 2023 for £86 million. 

He has achieved considerable success during his time in Munich. He helped the club win two Bundesliga titles and the German Cup. Kane, who scored 6 goals for England in the recently concluded World Cup, has scored 146 goals in 134 games since joining Bayern.

Although Bayern wants to tie him to a new contract, clubs in Europe and other regions are still showing interest in Kane. Barcelona has long been interested in the England captain, while clubs in Saudi Arabia are also linked with him.
