Iran Warns Strait of Hormuz Will Remain Closed If US Military Attacks Continue

Tehran. Iran has warned that the strategically important Strait of Hormuz will not open as long as the United States continues its military attacks on its territory.

Quoting Iranian military officials, government and semi-government media have stated that restrictions on ship movement will remain as the security situation has not changed.

According to Iran, the decision to reopen the strait or maintain the ban will be based entirely on the security situation and national interest. Iran's stance is that ships will not be allowed to move as long as US military action does not stop.

Meanwhile, the United States claims that Iran cannot control international waterways and has stated that it continues to carry out further airstrikes on Iranian military infrastructure. Military tension between the two sides has increased in recent days. 

Meanwhile, attacks on commercial ships in the Hormuz region have started to repeat. According to ship tracking data, ship movement through the strait has decreased significantly, creating further uncertainty in the global energy supply.

The Strait of Hormuz is considered one of the world's most important maritime oil routes. As a large volume of the world's crude oil and natural gas is transported through this route, it is analyzed that the tension here will directly affect the international energy market and oil prices.
