CJPs Founder Abhijit Dipke Apologizes to Supporters After Delhi Police Action

New Delhi. Croach Janata Party (CJP) founder Abhijit Dipke has apologized to his supporters. He apologized, saying he could have done better to protect the protesters from the Delhi Police's actions. Dipke wrote in a post on social media X, 'I apologize to all my supporters, especially those women, who were brutally beaten by male police officers.' Mentioning that they could have done better, he added, 'I could have done better to protect you from the inhumane actions of the Delhi Police.' Continuing his statement, Dipke wrote, 'The government was ready to shed the blood of many young students to save Dharmendra Pradhan, who was responsible for the death of more than 20 students.' He urged those who were injured to send a direct message (DM) and said he wanted to apologize personally. He clarified that CJP would continue to fight for its supporters. Many protesters were injured during the 'Parliament March' organized by CJP on Monday. Dipke also met many of the injured. Videos and pictures of the police using batons and tear gas during the protest have been released. However, different claims have been made by both sides regarding the police action. After Monday's protest, many celebrities from the entertainment industry have come out in support of the protesters. Many celebrities, including actors Sonu Sood, Ritesh Deshmukh, Ranvir Shorey, and actress Genelia, have reacted to this issue. Actor Sonu Sood wrote on X, 'Our students need hugging hands, not sticks.' Actor Ritesh Deshmukh and actress Genelia said, 'We stand firmly with the youth of the country, their voices must be heard.' Stating that youth are the strength of democracy and the real people who will build the future of the country, they added, 'Let's listen to them, support them, and give them a chance to move forward.' They believe that the energy, courage, and dreams of the youth will help build the India they desire. Actor Ranvir Shorey wrote on X, 'The minister should have resigned much earlier, this way the government could have saved its honor and would have been held accountable.' He argues that the government cannot get out of this issue now without benefiting the opposition or making it difficult for itself. Actress Bhumi Pednekar wrote on Instagram, 'Violence is not the solution to any problem.' Mentioning that pictures of violence were seen today, she added, 'It is our responsibility to ensure that the youth of the country do not resort to violence in this movement and that this movement does not deviate from its path.' International human rights organization Human Rights Watch has also expressed concern over the baton charge and tear gas shelling during Monday's Parliament March. The organization has appealed to the Indian authorities to investigate the police action and protect the rights of the protesters. Human Rights Watch's Deputy Asia Director Meenakshi Ganguly said, 'Indian authorities must immediately investigate allegations of the use of batons and tear gas by security forces to remove thousands of students protesting in Delhi.' She stated that authorities should ensure the police force exercises restraint and guarantees people's right to peaceful protest. Earlier, many opposition leaders, including Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav, Aam Aadmi Party convener Arvind Kejriwal, and Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee, had also criticized the police action.
