Dhanusha Traffic Police Collects Over NPR 11 Million in Revenue in FY 2082/83

Janakpurdham. The District Traffic Police Office, Janakpurdham, Dhanusha has collected revenue of NPR 11,409,501 in the last fiscal year 2082/83.

Chief Police Inspector Khagendra Kumar Dahal informed that NPR 11,409,501 in revenue was collected by taking action against 12,603 vehicles for violating traffic rules in the fiscal year 2082/83.

In the fiscal year 2081/82, NPR 22,110,500 in revenue was collected by taking action against 28,538 vehicles. In Dhanusha district, 82 people died and 2,198 were injured in 1,358 vehicle accidents in the fiscal year 2082/83.

In the previous fiscal year 2081/82, 84 people had died in 1,221 vehicle accidents in Dhanusha. In recent years, although vehicle accidents have increased in Dhanusha district, the number of deaths due to accidents has decreased.

Police Inspector Dahal stated that although vehicle accidents have increased in recent years due to the poor condition of the roads and human negligence, the number of deaths in accidents has decreased.
