Weather Forecast: Monsoon Influence Across Nepal with Potential for Heavy Rainfall

Kathmandu. Monsoon winds are currently affecting the entire country. According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, Meteorological Forecasting Division, the monsoon low-pressure line is located north of its average position.

Currently, most parts of the country are cloudy. Moderate rain is occurring in some places in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Karnali provinces, and in a few places in Sudurpashchim province.

On Monday, the weather across the country will be generally cloudy. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunderstorms and snowfall in a few places in the mountainous regions.

Similarly, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunderstorms in many places in the hilly areas of the country, in many places in the Terai regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpashchim provinces, and in a few places in Madhesh province.

There is a possibility of heavy rainfall in some places in the hilly and Terai regions of Koshi and Sudurpashchim provinces. Additionally, there is a possibility of heavy rainfall in one or two places in the hilly regions of Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpashchim provinces, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division.
