Bagmati Province Ministers Instructed to Resign

Makwanpur. Ministers from the CPN-UML in the Bagmati Province have been instructed to resign. The leader of the CPN-UML Bagmati Province Parliamentary Party, Jagannath Thapaliya, has instructed the ministers to resign from the government and leave. He said that he instructed the ministers to resign after a rift occurred in the Congress-UML ruling alliance. He stated that the ministers would submit their resignations to Chief Minister Indra Bahadur Baniya at an opportune time. He said, 'In the current changed political situation, it is understood that the Congress does not want to remain in the alliance. In the present situation, the conclusion is that the UML does not need to forcefully remain in the alliance, and thus the ministers have been instructed.' There are 6 ministers from the UML in the Bagmati government. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Baniya, the current 14 ministries in the province have been reduced to 8. From July 1, implementing that decision, 8 ministers have been given responsibilities, while 6 ministers have been kept as ministers without portfolio. In the Bagmati government, from the UML, Madhusudan Poudel is the Minister for Agriculture, Livestock, Forest and Environment, Bindu Shrestha is the Minister for Industry, Tourism, Labor and Transport, and Dr. Dinesh Chandra Devkota is the Minister for Physical Infrastructure Development, while Kiran Thapa Magar, Jayaram Shrestha, and Bharat Bahadur KC are ministers without portfolio.
