Eight Injured in Road Accident in Rautahat

Rautahat. Eight people were injured when a truck hit two passenger buses at the East-West Mahendra Highway in Dosro Lachka of Chandrapur Municipality-4.

The truck with registration number M.P.02-001 A 0867, coming from Janakpur towards Garuda, hit the passenger bus with registration number Ba.Pra.03-001 Kha 5284 and the passenger bus with registration number Ba.Pra.03-001 Kha 3660, which were going from Kathmandu to Dharan. After the collision, the bus with registration number Ba.Pra.03-001 Kha 3660 overturned on the road.

1) Resident of Village Dhanusha, Dhanusha Dham Municipality-09, approximately 60-year-old Lal Bahadur Tamang (truck co-driver)

2) Resident of District Makwanpur, Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City, approximately 43-year-old Bikash Poudel (Ba.Pra.03-001 Kha 3660 bus driver)

3) Resident of District Sunsari, approximately 45-year-old Pradip Khadka

4) Resident of District Sunsari, Inaruwa Municipality-02, approximately 57-year-old Nirmala Devi Gupta

5) Resident of District Morang, Sundarharaincha Municipality-05 Haraita, approximately 46-year-old Ritu Varna Karki

6) Resident of District Morang, Sundarharaincha Municipality-05 Haraita, approximately 44-year-old Meghraj Karki

7) Resident of District Sunsari, Itahari Sub-Metropolitan City, approximately 32-year-old Safal Magar

8) Resident of District Morang, Sundarharaincha Municipality-5 Haraita, approximately 54-year-old Dilmaya Karki

The injured are undergoing treatment at Nobel Hospital in Biratnagar, while Safal Magar, who was undergoing treatment at Simant Highway Hospital in Chur, left the hospital of his own accord during treatment.

The truck driver involved in the accident, approximately 35-year-old Lal Bahadur Magar, a resident of Mahottari Bardibas Municipality, has been taken into custody for consuming alcoholic beverages.
