Government Leaves 5 Bodies Vacant, Keeps 5 Secretaries in Reserve

Kathmandu. The Balendra Shah-led government has kept 5 secretaries in reserve (additional group) by leaving 5 bodies with secretary-level positions vacant.

According to the official web portal of the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, the Judicial Council Secretariat, Public Procurement Monitoring Office, Office of the Auditor General, Nepal Trust Office, and Election Commission are without secretaries. However, 5 secretaries are in an irresponsible state in the additional group of the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers.

According to the web portal, secretaries Dr. Govinda Sharma, Loknath Poudyal, Radhika Aryal, Hariprasad Mainali, and Dunduraj Ghimire are in reserve. Among the secretaries in reserve, Ghimire is suspended as the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority has filed a case against him in the special court on corruption charges.
