High Court Janakpur Exceeds Case Resolution Target by 101.60% in FY 2082/83

Janakpurdham. The High Court Janakpur has succeeded in resolving more cases than its target in the fiscal year 2082/83. The court achieved 101.60 percent progress compared to its annual target.

According to the court's statistics, last fiscal year, there were a total of 6,516 cases, including 2,267 carried over from the previous year and 4,249 newly registered. Of these, 70.88 percent, or 4,619 cases, have been resolved. According to the court's acting chief judge Teknarayan Kunwar, only 1,897 cases are currently pending.

The court stated that by prioritizing the resolution of old cases with a strategic plan, it has succeeded in reducing all cases older than 18 months and two years to zero.

For the current fiscal year, the court had set a target of resolving 4,546 cases. However, by bringing effectiveness to its performance, more than the set target, i.e., 4,619 cases, have been resolved.

The court estimates that 6,826 new cases may be registered in the upcoming fiscal year.
