Two Held With Rs 5.5 Million Unaccounted Cash in Dolpa

Dolpa. Police have arrested two people with Rs 5.51 million of undisclosed source from the Bheri Corridor road section in Tripurakot Bazaar, Ward No. 1 of Tripurasundari Municipality in the district. A joint security team, in the presence of a representative from the District Administration Office, Dolpa, took them under control.

On Wednesday, a joint team of 21 people, including 11 police personnel under the command of a police inspector from the District Police Office, Dolpa, and 10 armed police personnel under the command of an armed police inspector from the Armed Police Force Nepal No. 46 Battalion Headquarters, Dolpa, was conducting a check in the area. During the check, the motorcycle with registration number Ve 13 Pa 9265, traveling from Dunai towards Chhal, was stopped and checked, and the said amount was found.

The arrested individuals have been identified as the motorcycle driver Bishnulal Rokaya, approximately 32 years old, residing in Chhal, Ward No. 7 of Tripurasundari Municipality, Dolpa, and Bhakti Chandra Rokaya, approximately 42 years old, from the same place, who was riding pillion on the same motorcycle. As they could not disclose the legal source of the said amount recovered from them, the police have taken both individuals under control along with the cash and the motorcycle as per the law.

According to Binay Kumar Singh, Information Officer and Police Inspector at the District Police Office, Dolpa, the police have further investigated this incident.
